The new Vauxhall Mokka facelift has arrived and is due on sale within the next few weeks.
As facelifts go this is a very subtle mid life update. Changes up front include a new set of headlights with a new 3 block Daytime Running Light graphic that we have seen on the new Corsa Facelift and Frontera. The front bumper does also have a new design although it is very similar to the pre facelift version. There are some new colour options and wheel options too and on some models the matt black cladding is now gloss black. Chrome trim has also been removed on every model. Round back and the changes are very minimal with just a new set of taillights with the 3 block design and a new shark fin aerial
Moving inside, every new Mokka now features a dual 10 inch screen setup. The infotainment system has been upgraded to include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You also get OTA updates as well as Chat GPT on higher end models and the 'Hey Vauxhall' assistant. Other updates include a new steering wheel with new buttons and a flat top and bottom design. Because of the new steering wheel design, Vauxhall has changed the GM indicator stalks for Peugeot indicator stalks. This also means the light switch has also moved. The centre console is also slightly different finished in a mat silver finish as opposed to gloss black like before.
Vauxhall has also simplified the engine range. The range now kicks off with a 1.2 Litre Turbo with 134 bhp and this is only available with a 6 speed Manual. The next engine is a mild hybrid unit which has a 1.2 Litre Turbo and also has 134 bhp but it gets a 6 speed dual clutch automatic which has a 28 bhp electric motor built in. Finally you have the Mokka Electric. this has a 54 kWh battery pack and 154 bhp and this gives the car a 250 mile range and 100 kW maximum charging speeds.
The trim level structure will be the same as before with the range kicking off with Design then going up to GS and Ultimate. There wont be any options available for the Mokka and prices expected to start around £24,000 for the petrol version with the electric version expected to start just under £35,000. Vauxahll may look to offer the same PCP prices between both models just like it has done with the Corsa Facelift and Astra.
