Audi's best selling electric car gets an update to fix its issues
So, you may be wondering what has changed with the new Audi Q4 E-Tron Facelift and i wouldn't blame you to not notice anything straight away but there are a few exterior changes. There are also some new interior changes and a massive powertrain upgrade that you will be interested in.

To start with we get a new set of headlights that now feature Matrix technology and a lot more LED Daytime Running Light pattern. We get a new grill design with a refreshed Audi logo and finally we get a new bumper design to keep the whole car in line with its bigger E-Tron SUV's. Around the back the changes are slightly more obvious with the new bumper design which is less fussy and more aerodynamic. One change that may not be noticeable at first is the introduction of the OLED taillights taken from the bigger Q6 E-Tron. This makes the car feel much more premium than before. Apart from those changes everything else is the same.

Moving inside however and everything changes. To start with the floating centre console has gone and been replaced with this more conventional centre console which looks much neater and premium. It now also houses 2 wireless charging pads and better storage too. The dashboard is all new and uses the latest and better Audi MMI software with a much improved digital instrument cluster although it does feel like its slightly too thin for my liking. We do however now get a third screen for the passenger which is sort of intergrated. We also get some new more premium materials and an improved steering wheel with physical buttons.

So, over the years Audi has done little tweaks to the battery and motor options of the Q4 E-Tron but they have saved the biggest for the facelift model. They have introduced 2 new motors which help extend the range of the 2 battery models which are 63 kWh and 82 kWh in size. Audi claims that the motors boost efficiency by 10% increasing the range by 10 to 20 miles across the lineup. This means the range has increased from 251 miles to 273 miles for the lower 63 kWh battery pack. If you opt for the Sportback version then the range is even better. Rear wheel drive and Quattro 4 wheel drive options are still available with a maximum power output of 335 bhp which isn't too bad. One final new feature which is a first for any Audi is bi directional charging which means you can charge other products or power a kettle for example.
Pricing for the new Audi Q4 E-Tron is expected to start around £1,500 more than the current £47,355 price tag and deliveries will start within or just after summer time.
