This is the new Skoda Epiq Concept

This is the new Skoda Epiq concept. Previewing the new Skoda Epiq, the fourth electric car coming from Skoda. Expected to be revealed next year and it will cost around £22,000 and revive the spirit of the legendary Skoda Yeti.

With its new design language and boxy shape you would think that this is more of a concept design but Skoda say that this is close to a production design. This is the new design language that you will see from Skoda now on and this is the car that it starts with. The boxy shape is also a nod to the Yeti. With it only being 4,100 mm long it is smaller than the Yeti but it is more practical and this can be seen within the boot area with 490 litres of space over the yeti's 410 litres.

Inside it has a similar design to the Enyaq which is a bit of a shame really as i would of liked an interior like the Superb and Kodaiq with the multi functional 3 dials. You do however get loads of storage just like the Yeti and the infotainment system should be the newer MiB 5 system.

The new Epiq will sit on the MEB small platform just like the Volkswagen ID.2 and it will have around 250 miles of range and that's all we know at the moment. Looking at the ID.2 All concept you should get a battery pack size of around 36 to 56 kWh and up to 220 bhp in performance which is decent.

Before the production version of the Epiq is revealed we should be expecting the Elroq electric SUV first at the end of this year and also an updated version of the Enyaq hatchback and coupe. There will also be a smaller electric car from Skoda that will rival the Dacia Spring and possibly be a direct replacement to the Skoda Citigo. There will also be another electric car but we don't yet know what that is but that will conclude the 6 electric cars from Skoda over the next few years.
