This is the new MG HS

This is the new 2025 MG HS with an all new design. With the facelifted version only launched last year, MG has decided to replace it with an all new premium model.

The new MG HS gets an all new front end with some very slim headlights and a new grill design similar to what you would find on the new MG3 Hybrid+. Along the side you get a set of 19 inch wheels as standard on the SE and Trophy models. You also get loads of chrome along the side and some creases and a fake side vent. Moving round to the back and you get a light bar with some sharp taillights and a chrome strip too, giving it a premium look. The overall profile is also sporty and similar to the MG 4 at the back.

Moving inside the new MG HS and compared to the previous model, MG has taken a huge leap in design and luxury. There is a Mercedes style setup with a dual screen display, both being 12.9 inches in size. We also have a lot of fake leather and piano black plastic as well as comfier seats than before. We also get a new steering wheel from the MG4 too. Overall the interior design is much better than before and compared to its rivals it really has something to stand up to.

For the engine specs, you can have the base 1.5 litre GM engine from the old model. This has been upgraded slightly to 159 bhp. This is enough for a 0.4 second 0-62 time which is decent. This can be had with a 6 speed manual or a 7 speed Dual Clutch Automatic. The next option is the plug in hybrid option. This uses the same 1.5 litre engine but the power has been reduced to 142 bhp. Mated to this is a 206 bhp electric motor which improves the 0-62 time to 6.8 seconds. Combined this creates over 300 bhp which is very good and harks back to the MG heritage with it being sporty. MG also claims 'best-in-class' range from a 24.7 kWh battery pack. This gives the MG HS Plug in Hybrid up to 75 miles of electric only driving which is the best in its class.

The price of the new MG HS starts at £24,995 which isn't that bad considering what you are getting. What do you think. Let me know on the YouTube video.
