So Ford has given the most popular supermini a facelift. Lets go through the changes.
On the outside the styling gives the car a lot more road presence. Ford states that Fiesta customers liked the edgy design of the previous gen and thought the pre facelift was a bit to bubbly so Ford decided to give it a more angular look. This can be seen with a bigger grill as well as a new lower vent and side vents. The blue oval has also moved from the top of the bumper to the center of the grill to again give the car some road presence. We also get some new slimmer headlights that have LED technology as standard but for the first time you can have matrix technology on the Fiesta. Along the back there are some small changes like the darker tinted taillights but apart from that nothing else has changed.
On the inside there are some changes which include a new 12 inch digital instrument cluster as well as some new materials. We also get some new sportier bucket seats for the ST model.
The trim level has also got an update. This is because of the WLTP range as every model has to be tested so Ford kept the range to a minimum. It starts off with the Trend, then the Titanium. Next up is the ST-Line and then the ST and not forgetting the Active model. The Vignale trim has turned into an option pack for the Titanium and ST-Line models as well as the Active models. the pricing will start from £16,620.
The engine lineup has not changed apart from the ST model getting a 30 nm torque boost. This means you still get a range of Hybrid petrol engines.
The Ford Fiesta Active now has new driving modes called Tail and Slippery. Also there has been a safety tech boost. the Fiesta now has a wrong way alert which alerts you when you go the wrong way on the road. Also you can have a rear occupant alert which alerts the driver to not forget there pets or children in the back seat.
