This is the new Facelifted Dacia Spring Electric. Now you may be wondering what has been kept to just call it a facelift. Well everything is new apart from the roof. We get a new front end design similar to what the new Duster gets giving it a more rugged offroad look. Moving round to the side we get some beefier side cladding and the roof bars have gone to give the car a more sleeker look. Round to the back and we get a different tailgate which has a 2 split design to it giving this car a modern look.
Inside the new Dacia Spring Electric Facelift gets a whole new interior design with an introduction of a fully digital instrument cluster, a new steering wheel design, a new Android Automotive Infotainment System and a new dashboard design that is more modern and interesting than before. the centre console is somewhat there and is quite modern too. The seats are the same as before and so is the lack of sound deadening which is a shame.
The powertrain options are the same as before too. This means you get a 2.68 kWh battery pack giving only 130 miles of range. Power output is either 44 bhp or 64 bhp depending on what motor you go with. either way though because of the small battery pack and motor the Dacia Spring Electric weighs just under 1 tonne which is the lightest electric car you can buy. The price also represents this possibly starting around £16,000. This then should be perfect for a city runaround and a second cheap car for a family. We will have to wait and see if it actually is and put it to the test in my full in depth review.
