New Kia EV9 inspired Sorento Facelift price and specifications revealed with a £41,995 price tag

The new Kia Sorento has been revealed for the UK public along with its price and specification.

What are the main changes on the new Kia Sorento Facelift?

So, this is the new Kia Sorento Facelift. The main changes are on the outside with a new set of headlights and grill design inspired by the latest Kia EV9 and Kia Picanto Facelift. There are also changes at the back with a new set of LED Taillights and on the inside we get a set of touchscreen climate control buttons that turn into radio switches as well as a new radio system. What is also new though is the trim lineup.

The range now kicks off with the '2' spec trim level. This is priced at £41,995 and it features full LED headlights and taillights, electric folding and heated door mirrors, 3 zone climate control, heated front seats and steering wheel as well as a smart entry system and a pair of 12.3 inch infotainment and instrument cluster displays. You also get front and rear parking sensors with a rear camera and a host of safety features such as autonomous emergency braking and adaptive cruise control.

Stepping up to the '3' spec trim level you get a set of 19 inch wheels, high spec adaptive LED headlights, electric front seats as well as 360 degree parking cameras and finally self levelling air suspension on the rear for people who like to tow.

The top spec '4' model brings, a panoramic sunroof, premium Nappa leather interior, ventilated front seats, power adjustable steering column, heads up display, a fingerprint reader so the driver can access their own personal preferences with just a finger.

Along with the new trim levels and prices you also get Kia's great 7 year warranty which makes this car worth every penny over its models like the Seat Terraco, Skoda Kodiaq or even the upcoming Volkswagen Tayron.

What engines can you have with the Sorento Facelift?

So, the engine options consist of petrol hybrid engines, diesel engines as well as a plug in hybrid option. The pick of the bunch for me would be the 2.0 litre diesel unit producing 190 bhp. There is also a pair of 1.6 litre turbo petrol engines. The first model is on a hybrid system which makes 212 bhp and this will be the most popular model. The next one is the plug in hybrid version which has 249 bhp. All versions send power through an automatic gearbox (6 speed on petrol versions and 8 speed on diesel engines). All versions also have 4 wheel drive.

So, what do you think of the new Kia Sorento Facelift. Will it be a good car. Find out when we review it later in the year.
