Skoda Enyaq Coupe VRS Review

This is the Skoda Enyaq Coupe VRS and to be honest it is better than what you think it would be. Let’s find out why.

Exterior – Front

So, the design at the front is extremely aggressive and sporty looking. To start with we have the usual Skoda grill but connected to it are these sharp LED headlights with the LED daytime running lights connecting to the standard light up Skoda grill with a light bar. Lower down we have a big central air vent with some side vents that have an aggressive design. This is influenced by the sharp creases in the bonnet. Let’s move round the side.

Exterior – Side

Moving round the side we have this very sleek look. We have this SUV look which I like but moving past the B pillar we have this coupe like design, and it reminds me of a more premium car like a Mercedes or BMW. This design is helped by the sporty characteristic.

Exterior – Rear

Moving round the back we have an odd design. The design gives this car a ducktail type spoiler which I do quite like but for me the boot lid is a bit plain, I think if they put the number plate on it the design would look much better. I do like the taillight design and the bumper design though. Let’s have a look at the battery and motor options.

Car and engine specs and price

So, what does the VRS get. Well, you get a 2 motor setup, one on each axle. This produces 295 bhp and 460 NM of Torque. That propels this car from 0 to 62 in 6.5 seconds. The top speed is not what you would say fast at 111 mph but the national speed limit in the UK is 70. The Skoda Enyaq Coupe VRS is also lower all round with 15 mm at the front and 10 mm at the back. The Price of the Skoda Enyaq Coupe VRS starts at 53,735.

Interior – Design

So, climbing inside there is a sense of airiness about it. To start with the dash design is very minimalist. We have this tiny instrument cluster in front of the driver, and we have this big tablet screen in the centre. Whilst it does look like a tablet it is eye level, so you don’t have to take your eyes off the road, but it is a bit distracting. Apart from this the dashboard has this plain but premium material. The centre console again feels premium with the gear shifter from the Audi E-Tron GT. These seats are also comfortable, and the door cards have a very good amount of storage.

Practicality

So, sitting in the back the premiumness continues with these rear blinds, the premium materials in the door cards and the single zone rear climate control. The legroom and headroom is also very good, and you can sit 3 people in the back as there is no floor hump. There is also an armrest and USB C ports. Let’s check out the boot.

Boot Size

So, opening the boot we have a hatchback style opening which gives us a big opening area for big items. With the seats up you get a 585 litre boot and with the seats down you get 1,710 litre boot. This size is decent enough for a family.

Summary

So, what do I think about the Skoda Enyaq Coupe VRS? Well, it’s the type of car that you can’t put a finger on it. there is something special about it and you don’t know what it is. This is that car. It is great in every way and the way it looks, feels, and drives you can’t complain at all. It is much better than the Volkswagen ID5 and the Audi Q4 E-Tron Sportback as it is much cheaper.
