Seat Arona Facelift Review

Is this the best SUV in the market. Read on to find out

Car engine price and spec

So the engine range kicks off with a 1.0 litre petrol unit which produces 94 BHP. This can be had in a 5 speed manual gearbox. Next up is another 1.0 litre unit that produces 108 BHP which is slightly less than the 113 BHP model that it replaces. This one can be had in a 6 speed manual or a 7 speed DSG gearbox. Finally you can get a 1.5 litre petrol unit that creates 148 BHP. This one can only be had with a 7 speed DSG gearbox. The price for the Seat Arona starts at £19,600.

Exterior – Front

So at the front we have a very different design to the old Seat Arona. So the grill and headlight shape are the same but the grill has a new mesh pattern and the headlights look similar to the ones you can find on the new facelifted Ibiza. Lower down we can see a new central air vent that is wide and has a sporty and athletic style to it. The side vents are also different and again look sporty. The fog lights have been moved slightly and are now on the bumper and not the air vent.

Exterior – Side

Along the side there are no changes apart for some new wheel options.

Exterior – Rear

At the back there is a new bumper that looks sporty and makes the car look more like a modern SUV. Other changes include some darker tail lights and a new Arona badge to match the rest of the range.

Interior – Design

So on the inside the new Seat Arona facelift has a new interior that is taken from the new Seat Ibiza. This means we get some circular airvents as well as a tablet like infotainment system as well as a new instrument cluster and steering wheel. There is also a new trim panel that stretches the width of the car and can also be used as a shelf to rest your hand on to work the touch screen. We also have some nice new seat materials which is a nice touch.

Practicality

So sitting in the back there is room for 2 rear 6 footers with 2 6 footers sitting in the front which is very good for the size of car. You can carry 3 people in the back but it will be a very tight squeeze.

Boot Size

So the boot size of the Seat Arona is 400 litres with the seats up and with the seats down it is 823 litres. You don’t get any arm rest or climate vents in the back which is to be expected.

Summary

So in summary then the Seat Arona is a great SUV and personally I think it is even better than its rivals in design interior and practicality. I would highly recommend this car.

Exterior 4.5/5

Interior 4.5/5

Practicality 4/5

Total 13/15
