New 2024 Skoda Enyaq Coupe Update Review

Is the updates enough for the Skoda electric SUV?

Exterior – Front

So, for the 2024 update, the design hasn’t really changed that much if at all to be honest. The only noticeable change is a new Skoda logo on the front. We still get these striking LED Matrix headlights though with a thin LED Daytime running light strip. We also have the light up crystal style grill which I do quite like, and it makes use of a blank area. Lower down we get the same big central air vent as before and some slim and sporty side vents. There is a new trim level though. This is the Laurin & Klement trim and this changes the front slightly by giving it some luxurious light grey accents.

Exterior – Side

So, moving round to the side and as you can tell we have the coupe version on test today. Nothing has changed much apart for some new colour and wheel options. We still get this sloping side with some sharp sporty creases that make it look better than an Audi SUV coupe. We get a fake vent near the front and some chrome on the L&K model too.

Exterior – Rear

Moving round to the back and we get a really sporty design. To be honest it is almost like that the Enyaq was designed as a coupe first as this design is much better than the regular SUV. We get some slim taillights which look sporty, and we also get the new Skoda lettering on the back too. the numberplate is on the bumper which frees the boot up to look sleek. We also get an integrated boot spoiler which also looks good. The bumper is the same as before, but I am fine with that. Let’s have a look at what has changed though. The battery and motor options.

Car and engine specs and price

So, for the battery and motor options there are a few changes, to start with the whole Skoda Enyaq range gets a 77kWh battery. This is the same as before but it has received technology improvements to help on the efficiency. Lets start with the base model. The 85. This replaces the old 80 model. This has a new and improved motor giving the Skoda 282 bhp. this is rear wheel driven. The 0-62 figures havnt been announced for this specification yet but I will let you know when they have. The range of this model has also increased to 353 miles which is 12 miles more than the old 80. The next model is the 85x. this is the dual motor 4-wheel drive version, and this also now gets 282 bhp. the range is slightly less though at 328 miles, but this is 11 more than the old 80x. 0-62 is delt within 6.6 seconds too. Finally, there is a top of the range VRS model, and this has a dual motor setup with 335 bhp. this has a range of 336 miles which in all isn’t that bad. 0-62 is delt within 5.5 seconds which is good too. The price of the new Skoda Enyaq Coupe 2024 Update start at £46,440 which isn’t that bad. Right let’s have a look at the interior and see what has changed there.

Interior – Design

So, climbing inside the new Enyaq and we do get some updates. To start with we get the new MiB 4 infotainment system from the Octavia Facelift, if you want to watch that video click the top right-hand banner now. The infotainment system works well and is much easier to use than before too. if you want to watch a similar infotainment review on a Volkswagen then click the top right-hand banner now. The dashboard design is still very modern with a sleek and modern design. I do wish that they had added the multifunctional knobs from the new Superb and Kodiaq in the Enyaq as that would of make using the infotainment much easier. We do get some function switches below though but most of them are redundant as they are now on the screen in the top right-hand corner. The centre console is the same as before and we still get the Audi gear selector toggle which I quite like. The steering wheel and small instrument cluster is the same as before too. the seats are the same chunky seats as before. I must admit these seats because they are chunky do look comfier and more premium. on the seats though we get more premium materials on this L&K model giving this a sense of luxury. The door cards also have a nice design to them with these 3d style door handles and premium materials dotted around the cabin. Right, let’s have a look at the rear seats.

Practicality

So, climbing in the back of the Enyaq and you get a decent amount of legroom and headroom for a 6-footer like me. You also get the continuation of premium materials in the back as well as some USB C ports, air vents, your own climate control system, an arm rest and even your own rear sun blinds. Let’s have a look at the boot.

Boot Size

So, opening the boot to the Skoda Enyaq coupe and you get 570 litres with the seats up which is the same as before. that is only 15 litres less than the regular SUV which is either here or there really. Folding the seats you get 1,610 litres which is more than enough for most people. Again, this is unchanged over the old model.

Summary

So, what do I think of the Skoda Enyaq then. Well Skoda have made a decent car even better with good technology and battery and motor improvements. To be honest for value for money when these vehicles are 6 months old these will be very good buys.
