This is the new Volkswagen ID.7 Tourer GTX

This is the new Volkswagen ID.7 Tourer GTX, the ultimate quick electric estate car.

Performance

With a dual motor setup creating a capped 335 bhp with the front motor creating 281 bhp and the front motor creating 107 bhp in total creating 4 wheel drive but rear wheel biased. Performance figures haven't been released yet but it will no doubt be quicker that the quick regular ID.7 Performance at 6.5 seconds to 62 mph. The battery pack in the ID.7 GTX is 87 kWh in size which will give the car 387 miles of range and you can now charge the ID.7 GTX at 200kW DC which will mean it will take less than 30 minutes to charge between 10% to 80%. You will also get adaptive dampers as standard that you can fine tune in the infotainment system. The price will surely reach above £60,000 which will make it one of the most expensive Volkswagen models you can buy but considering the electric estate market is still small with only 6 estate cars available to buy the price isn't that bad.

Exterior Design

Other improvements to over the regular ID.7 includes a sportier front bumper with some new unique GTX lights near the side vents. The side skirts are gloss black and so is the rear bumper. The silver side trim is also now gloss black too. There's also a GTX badge on the side and on the back. Also on the back there is a bigger spoiler.

Interior Design

Moving inside the ID.7 Tourer GTX you get some new red highlights around the place just like any other GTX and even GTI cars. You also get sportier GTX style seats that support you better than the base versions. Unfortunately you do still get the touch sensitive buttons on the steering wheel but this will change in the future. The materials used in the regular ID.7 is very good so we can expect this to be exactly the same. We will have to find out in a review in the future.

Summary

So, that's the ID.7 Tourer GTX. There will also be a hatchback version of the ID.7 GTX which will have the same changes and performance. What do you think to it. Let me know in my YouTube Channel by clicking the video above.
