The current Volkswagen T-Roc has been one of Volkswagen's popular models even though it is going to be 7 years old soon. Soon an all new Second generation model is coming and this our first look at it out in the public in prototype form.
Right from the start we can see that the new T-Roc will get a different design from what we are used to. Most of the front is covered i fake stickers but we can make out slimmer headlights with a double J style design and what looks like will be connected to a black bar just like the new Volkswagen Tiguan. Gone has the Clamshell bonnet too. Along the side we can really start to see some changes. It looks like the T-Roc will be getting a more premium and sleeker look with a more curvier yet still boxy body. We will also get a steeper raked roof too giving this a more coupe style look. Round the back it looks like it will borrow the same taillight design to the Tiguan too.
As for the interior we don't know what it will look like but we can guess it will be very similar to the Tiguan but maybe more youthful.
The platform is also expected to change from the old MQB platform to the MQB Evo platform again like what the Tiguan and new Golf is based on. This will mean it will receive similar powertrains as the new Golf Facelift and Tiguan but with Euro 7 in mind. This would be a mild Hybrid 1.5 litre engine and even a plug in hybrid too with up to 62 miles of electric only driving. The Performance T-Roc R may make a comeback too.
Expect the Volkswagen T-Roc to debut around the end of 2025 to 2026.
